So... I spent New Years Eve in downtown with my family yesterday. We had a great time people watching, eating, enjoying music and all the wonderful NYE festivities. It was a brilliant way to end the year and welcome in a new one. I ended up taking some shots I'd normally not take, but really wanted to try on my new word for size - so stepped completely out of my comfort zone and took the shots you see below. Ha ha! Felt rather wonderful to be honest. I like my new word a lot. We're going to get along just fine this year.
So, CHEERS to 2014 and to my new word. And, Thank you, 2013, for everything you've given me the past year, the heavy and the light. I am grateful for it all.
Wishing you the best year ahead, whoever you are reading this right now,
do what makes you happy,
express yourself in ways that feel right for you personally,
be kind to yourself and others,
and dream big!
Fearless Photo #1
I happened to be crossing the street when I saw this license plate and my *fearless* side came out. I stopped dead center in front of their car and took a few shots. Afterwards the man smiled and waved big to me, but the ladies? Not so much. Ha ha ha. Oh well...
Fearless Photo #2
This sweet couple you see pictured above were walking across the street in front of me when I happened to notice the mans really cool Minolta camera, so I asked him (which is something I NEVER do), if I could take his photograph? He obliged and even smiled HUGE for me. I was so happy. Ha ha... :)
Thanking all the wonderful people above, even the grouchy ladies [maybe I was a sign sent to them for them to lighten up a bit themselves?], for helping me break in my new word yesterday. I had fun and I really enjoyed ringing in the new year amongst them all. I wish them the best year ever, too!
